The tiny orphaned kittens desperately needed someone to take care of them and give them lots of love. The people living at the Catalina Springs Memory Care were definitely a perfect match.
The seniors from the center are actually saving the kittens. They are only two weeks old and they barely opened their eyes. The people who live in the home have a lot of free time on their hands to take care of the little baby kittens.
The health services director at the Catalina Springs Rebecca Hamilton made a partnership with Pima Animal Care Center. The idea was to try to help and rescue as many kittens as possible with this program. After they become 6 weeks-old the kittens will be ready for adoption and in the meantime they will be neutered or spayed.
